Making A Purchase

Follow our guidelines below for an enjoyable and hassle-free shopping experience :: 1. Selecting products :: Visit our online shop to search our range of products. Click the links, or use our search form, to browse to the item you require. To add an item to your shopping cart enter the quantity required in the form (you can alter this later on) and click the 'add to cart' button. This will take you to the shopping cart page. 2. Shopping cart :: You can view the products that you have added to your shopping cart at any time. Here you can edit quantities of the products in your online shopping cart, you may also remove items by setting the quantity to zero and clicking the 'updtae' button. The total displayed in the shopping basket page is the inclusive, delivered price (delivery to UK mainland only) in Pounds Sterling. For other delivery detinations contact us for a quotation prior to purchase. When you are happy with the items in your shopping basket click the 'checkout' button at the bottom of the shopping basket page. 3. Checkout :: 3.1 Security :: We use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption technology, which is the industry standard and among the best software available for secure payment transactions. Your transactions (including credit card information) are "scrambled" so that security is never compromised. The encryption makes it virtually impossible for unauthorised parties to read any information sent to us. SSL works with Netscape Navigator (version 3.0 and above), Microsoft Internet Explorer (version 3.02 and above) and AOL (AOL 3.0 and above). 3.2 Terms & Conditions :: Read our terms and conditions, if you agree click the 'next' button. You can read our terms and conditions here. 3.3 Checkout :: On entering the checkout area you can review your order and then click 'next' to go to our secure payment area. 3.4 Payment :: All prices are quoted in Pounds Sterling and include VAT where applicable. Delivery to the UK mainland is added on the shopping basket page and handling fee, the price quoted on the shopping cart page is the total price for customers in the UK mainland, there are no further additions. Customers overseas should contact us for a full quotation for delivery. We can accept the following credit and debit cards online: Visa, Mastercard, Switch. 3.5 Order confirmation :: Once all your details have been entered into the checkout form you will be presented will an order confirmation page. You may print this page for your records, you will also be sent a confirmation email. A full tax reciept will be sent with your goods. Your order will carry a unique order number, this is displayed in your email and on the confirmation page. Please quote this order number in all correspondence.

shipping and handling

Wherever possible all outgoing parcels are packed using materials re-cycled inhouse, reducing the waste we generate and our resource consumption. In addition there is a standard £1 handling/packing charge on all orders. Orders are deliver using a national courier service.

Delivery Schedule

Delivery will normally be within 4 working days, however you should allow 7 working days for delivery. If there is a problem and we are not able to deliver your order within 7 working days we will contact you. We deliver goods either with our own van locally or by national courier. Delivery charges quoted by Precious Earth are for UK mainland only, for overseas and offshore deliveries contact us for a quotation.

Back Orders

If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.

Tax Charges

For orders made from the UK or the European Union, 17.5% VAT is added.

Credit Card Security

When the order is placed at our website, credit card numbers are encrypted using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site.

Guarantee

Should you have a complaint about any product purchased from Precious Earth, or about our web site please address this to: info@preciousearth.co.uk or contact us by post, telephone, fax or in person. We will review and acknowledge your complaint by email or letter within five working days. We aim to resolve all complaints within 14 days of receipt, you will receive a full reply by email or letter. If your complaint takes longer than expected to resolve we will keep you informed of our progress as we investigate the relevant issues.

Returns Policy

When you receive goods ordered from Precious Earth, you have a statutory right that allows you to cancel the order up to seven working days starting from the day AFTER the goods were delivered. Please note 7 working days do not include public holidays or weekends. We will refund the price paid as soon as possible, but no later than 30 days from notification that you wish to cancel the order. This notification must be in writing, and will not be accepted in the form of a telephone call only. We will only refund the cost of the goods and the original carriage cost. You must return the goods to Precious Earth, or make them freely available for collection by our appointed courier. If you do not freely return the goods, at your cost, to Precious Earth then we may have to deduct any reasonable costs we incur in recovering the goods from you. This will be deducted from your refund. If you, the consumer, wishes to return goods, you will return them at your own cost, we will only refund the return carriage if the goods are faulty or are incorrect. Where products supplied are damaged, incorrect or faulty we will either replace the item or issue a full refund within 30 days of notice. We may request goods to be returned for inspection prior to agreeing to any refund at your cost. If goods are confirmed to be faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied we will refund any carriage costs incurred in returning the goods.
